As HMD Inks and Coatings marks 25 years of growth and achievement, we are proud to step into our 26th year—continuing a journey built on transformation, innovation, and resilience.
To commemorate this milestone, we have created something truly meaningful—our very own symbolic dragonfly.
Why a dragonfly? It represents transformation, adaptability, and precision—qualities that have defined HMD since the very beginning. Just like the HMD Dragonflyz, we have continuously evolved to meet the changing demands of the industry.
Our HMD Dragonflyz is uniquely designed with six wings—a key element that reflects our core strength as an inks manufacturer. Each wing carries a distinct color—Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black, Orange, and Green—symbolizing not only the essence of printing, but also the diversity, vibrancy, and expanded capabilities we bring to our partners beyond conventional CMYK solutions.
The body, finished in Silver Lacquer, represents our coatings business—strong, protective, and essential—while also marking our 25-year Silver Jubilee milestone.
This is more than a design. It is our identity. A creation that belongs exclusively to HMD—our own species, the only one of its kind!

HMD Inks & Coatings feiert 25 Jahre Wachstum und Erfolg. Mit Stolz starten wir in unser 26. Jahr – geprägt von Transformation und Innovation.
Zu diesem Meilenstein haben wir ein Symbol geschaffen: unsere HMD-Libelle (Dragonflyz).
Warum eine Libelle? Sie steht für Anpassungsfähigkeit und Präzision – Werte, die HMD seit Beginn prägen. Wie die Dragonflyz entwickeln wir uns stetig weiter.
Die Symbolik: Sechs Flügel stehen für unsere Kernkompetenz als Farbenhersteller. Jeder trägt eine Farbe – Cyan, Magenta, Gelb, Schwarz, Orange und Grün – und zeigt die Vielfalt über CMYK hinaus.
Der silberlackierte Körper symbolisiert unser Beschichtungsgeschäft und zugleich das 25-jährige Jubiläum.
